Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can a smart lock be fitted to a fire door?
Some smart locks may suit fire door applications, but compatibility depends on the door type, hardware setup and project-specific requirements. Suitability should always be confirmed before installation.
-
What is the best smart lock for a fire door?
The best option depends on the door specification, access requirements and preferred features such as keypad entry, fingerprint access, RFID cards or app control.
-
Do fire door smart locks work with apps?
Many models support app access, and some can also connect to a compatible gateway for remote control and user management.
-
Do I need to check compatibility before ordering?
Yes. Fire doors require careful consideration of fitment, hardware layout and project requirements, so checking compatibility before purchase is important.
